Our Spring Break trip to California

These are only a few of MANY pictures, but you get the idea of how much driving we did. We took two days driving down through New Mexico and Arizona to arrive at our first destination, the San Diego Temple. Avery had told us that she wanted to see as many temples as we could on our drive, so we took a few detours to see some, but also had to miss a few temples due to weather.
We went to Knott's Berry Farm the next day with Eric's sister & her family. We were lucky enough to have Eric's parents & youngest sister to surprise us down there, too! Well, we had a head's up, but the kids were surprised! The kids had so much fun spending time with their cousins they don't see very often.
The next day & on our way out of Southern California, we stopped at the Los Angeles Temple.
Then we made a beach stop in Santa Barbara after lunch (at In-N-Out, of course). It was foggy, but I think it made for some cool pictures. I love this one of three generations of Morris boys with near perfect reflections.
My messy baby boy loved the sand and mud, but wasn't a big fan of the waves.
Avery is always up for digging & making stuff in the sand & finding bugs.
Eden went from clean to a churro pretty quickly, but always with a beautiful smile on her face!
Aunt Jamie's wedding day at the Oakland Temple.
 All 10 of the granddaughters!
 The boys are definitely outnumbered!
 The happy newlyweds!
Hiking around the Redwoods the day after the wedding.
Grandma & Grandpa with all of the grandkids.
Climbing around in the Redwoods & Wyatt with the death grip on my neck.
We had one relaxing day of watching General Conference before we went to San Fransisco on Monday. We took BART into the city & then took the trolley to Fisherman's Wharf. All of those times to San Fran & this was my first time on a trolley!
Fisherman's Wharf with sea lions to the left, Alcatraz & the Golden Gate bridge behind us.
We began making our way home & stopped to see the Reno Temple.
Our last stop was in Salt Lake before returning home. We spent the majority of the day walking around Temple Square, the Conference Center & stopping in on a whim to watch the new Joseph Smith movie. It was a wonderful vacation full of great memories! And the kids were SO good for all 53 hours in the car!

Avery's Baptism

I can finally add a few recent pictures! Avery was baptized at the end of May & everything went really well. She was more excited than nervous & I couldn't believe that we were already at this milestone! Some of Eric's family was able to come into town, all of my family was able to make it & some great friends were able to attend, so we had a pretty full room. It was really a great day.

Electronic Bermuda Triangle

I feel like I am stuck and can't get out! I would swear that anything that has to do with technology and is electronic just doesn't want to work in my house. That is the main reason that I have not posted anything FOREVER! I have so many pictures and stories to share, but can't do it. My hard drive on my computer was slowly fizzling, so we got an external hard drive to back-up everything. My brother swapped out my hard drive with an old one that he had, so my computer would work again. Whew! We're good, right? Nooooo...shortly after, my external hard drive no longer wanted to turn on. ALL of my pictures, with the exception of a few, are on there! Now, since my external hard drive has pooped out & I had my picture program set up to automatically send my pictures there, I can't even download pictures to my computer! I've tried to correct it, but it hasn't worked, yet. I have a wonderful friend that is helping me retrieve all of my data off of the external hard drive. So, now I'm patiently waiting until I can get a new computer. Still waiting...

And this is only the Bermuda Triangle that is centered in my office, there was another one messing with the Family room entertainment system, from the TV to the DVD player, too. We realized that was simply the age of everything. The TV that is about 15 years old has definitely served us well!

As soon as I get everything working, I 'm hoping to post a GIGANTIC post!

I do all my own stunts!

As many of you know, Wyatt broke his leg about 2 weeks ago. He fractured his femur right above the growth plate and had to be put in a full leg cast for 4 weeks. We are half way through now and he is getting around quite well (sometimes a little too well). He has been such a trooper from the beginning! In a little less than two weeks, we hope to try the walking thing again.

Shower Surprise

A couple of weeks ago (precast), I was reaching into the shower to help Avery with her hair and Wyatt decided he needed to shower, too. I had shampoo all over my hands and was trying to hold the door closed as much as possible, but he was able to push his way in between my legs to get into the shower (fully clothed). He was pretty happy with himself!

First Day of School

Eden's first day of preschool
Jake's first day of kindergarten
Avery's first day of 2nd grade

Labor Day

We spent Labor Day at the lake with Eric's cousins. It was a great way to spend the unofficial last day of summer. Jake loves helping Eric drive the boat.
I rode on the tube with all of the kids. Eden and Wyatt had a blast, but Avery and Jake were glad to get back on the boat. Usually it's Avery and Jake that love the tube and Eden that's terrified to even get on the boat! It was a fun ride anyway.
Jake and Eden enjoying the sun on the boat.
Eden playing on the beach.
Yes, that would be me attempting to wake board.
