2012 Spring Soccer

We just finished up spring soccer for Jake & Eden.

Eden has begged to play soccer for over 6 months & was SO excited to play! In the Tumbleweed division, she just had weekly practice with scrimmages & no games. She finally decided to run during her last practice scrimmage and scored a goal!

Jake was a different story. We were the ones begging him to try something new. He chose soccer over piano & whined about going to the first practice. Since then he has loved every second & has definitely discovered a new talent! He mostly played left forward and scored his first goal last week & it was the winning point! We were all very bummed that he was sick on the day of his last game last night & his team lost 3-6. The coach said they definitely missed him last night.

Also, I discovered that I love watching my kids play soccer. I have always been a "quiet-non-yelling-just-clapping" spectator for sports, but I discovered that soccer brings out the yeller in me. I think I have soccer induced Tourrette's Syndrome.
