Birthday Central!

Within two days, we celebrate Eric's, Avery's and Eden's birthdays! Not to mention Brent's (brother-in-law) and Alyssa's (niece). It is rather busy!
Avery has suddenly lost complete interest in Dora & lost most interest in Princesses, but has gained an immediate love for High School Musical and Hannah Montana. I swear we missed a few phases in that switch!
Avery had to go on a small treasure hunt to find her scooter. Happy 6th birthday, Angel!
Now it's Daddy's turn! He keeps telling the kids that he's turning 29, but they are onto him. Happy 32nd, Honey!
Awww, it's the birthday boy in his birthday hat!

I love this picture of Eden opening her presents with Grandma.
Eden got her first trike this year. Learning to pedal is a little down the road, though.Until that day comes, big brother is happy to help her out!Happy 2nd birthday, Princess!

Avery's Kindergarten Graduation

Avery graduated from kindergarten this year! Once I figure it out, I have a video clip I want to put on here from her graduation. When they were called up, they were handed a microphone to tell their favorite thing about kindergarten. When she was handed the microphone, her response was, "My favorite thing about kindergarten was being nice to everyone." Eric looked at me and asked if I told her to say that. I didn't even know until that morning that she even got to do this. I asked her what she was going to say and she told me "learning new things". I guess she changed her mind when some other kids said that.
She did a great job all year long & really learned a lot! She can count to 10 in a few different languages. Spanish, German, French & Chinese seem to be her favorites!

Jake's Graduation

Jake finished his first year of preschool in May. He did very well, even though he was the youngest in his class. The graduation was very cute, with hats, diplomas & awards. I was a very proud mom when his award was for "Best Manners". Way to go, Jake!

Oh Flarp!

No, a monster did not sneeze on my daughter's head. Avery went to a birthday party and received some Flarp in her goody bag. It's that lovely stuff that feels like slime, but every time you push it in the container, it sounds like a toot (& I don't mean like a train). She was messing around with it & thought it was a good idea to put it on top of her head. Little did I know that Flarp adheres rather well to hair! So, after being a good mom & about 20-30 minutes later, she was Flarpless and the scissors stayed in the drawer! So, for future reference...Flarp & hair do not go well together!

Happy Mother's Day

Primary Activity

We had such a fun Primary Activity in May! It was a pj's party (of course, we dressed the part). We fed the kids breakfast, made prayer rocks, made journals & told scripture stories. (Did you catch why it was a pj's party?) It was so great & we had the best turn out ever! Great job, Kathy! Seriously, she is so creative & amazing.

Avery's Spirit Days

Avery had spirit days at school towards the end of the year. Here are two silly days, backwards/crazy hair day & clash day. We enjoy dressing up at this house (well, Mommy & the kids do).
